South Africa Travel Adventure
61Ganora Guest Farm In Great Karoo For An African Adventure Taste On Tour
When touring in South Africa, you can opt for just another stay in an ordinary hotel. Or you can create an adventure experience by including activities such as fossil hunts, quad biking and canyon hikes.
South Africa is a country that is rich in contrasts. You can delight in the beauty of the Western Cape with its beaches and winelands. Or you can travel to the Karoo to become bewitched by a completely different kind of allure.
One of the less well-known attractions that comes to mind, is the Ganora Guest Farm in the Great Karoo. Here you can get a real taste of Africa, from long hikes in the canyon to quad biking experiences. Or how about the renowned Ganora Guest Farm fossil tour?
You definitely won't be limited to a working sheep farm vacation here. And, if you need a bit more, interesting towns like Graaff Reinet, Nieu-Bethesda and Cradock are within easy reach.
Ganora Guest Farm offers you a private museum featuring fossils and Bushman artefacts found on the farm. You will also be taken to sites rich with Bushman paintings and engravings.
Hester and JP Steynberg will spoil you with true South African hospitality, delicious country food and comfortable accommodation.
So, you can start your touring through South Africa with a scenic stay in Cape Town, visiting the Waterfront, Table Mountain and white beaches. Once you have had your fill of city life, take the road to Graaff Reinet and Ganora Guest Farm in the Great Karoo where you can feed your soul in the quiet of nature, while watching soaring eagles overhead.
Our beautiful country has something to offer for every taste and every temperament.

I've always interested in South Africa. And now you've made me want to go there even more. Thanks so much for sharing. :)
Ah, I've been in South Africa all my life but really haven't been to many places in it! You mention Cradock though, and I've been there, a good few years back for an athletics meeting when I was still in school. Beautiful little town. Interesting hub, even though it tells me I know so little about my own beautiful land :) I love East London, though, where I live. It has the only river port in South Africa, and beautiful beaches and countryside.
South Africa looks like an amazing place to visit. I would love to see the Western Cape especially. Thanks for sharing this info!
I've never known anything about the draw for tourists to South Africa. I hope I am able to go there someday. I have heard from some travelers that it makes for a wonderful trip. Plus, I like the unique South African accent... ;)
It sounds like such a wonderful place! I would love to go on a Safari one day. Cool stuff!
I agree with RedElf. I really don't know much about South Africa so it is always fun to learn about other places. You did a great job writing this. You make me want to pack up and head out. I have always wanted to travel, but no money for that:( I can always go there in my dreams though. Voted up and useful. Take care.
Rika Susan,
Speaking as a former travel agent, I enjoy reading travel articles and learning about countries I have never visited.
Thanks for sharing your country with us.
I just did an article for a winery in South Africa...writing is a fascinating profession, opening up the world for those of us unable to travel abroad. Thank you for the tour and a glimpse at another lifestyle I do not know about.
My heart is in Africa and this hub is wonderful and exciting!
